New Store Pet

Today we adopted Midnight, a Webkinz Black Lab. With our Webkinz Virtual Pet we can enjoy all of the perks of owning a puppy--she's cute, cuddly, and playful. Turns out she also loves cake. Well, that's my kinda dog! Went to Dr. Quack's clinic and she's strong, healthy, and in great shape.

I can see why children love Webkinz so much. I've spent about an hour on the site today already! I enjoy trivia in Quizzy's Corner and won enough KinzCash to buy Midnight a hip green cropped jacket for her to wear.

Alex's Lemonade Stand

I was so touched by one of our young customers this afternoon. He chose to celebrate his birthday by helping raise money for childhood cancer with an Alex's Lemonade Stand. He came in with his mom to have us inflate bright yellow Alex's Lemonade latex balloons to decorate his stand. I absolutely love the idea and admire this boy for his generous heart. Happy Birthday!

Back from Newport

It was so nice to get away for the weekend. Went to Newport, RI and had a great time! The weather was amazing, the food and shopping terrific. Toured the Breakers Mansion and have to go back to check out the other 11 mansions sometime soon. They have an amazing wine & food festival with Chef Jacques Pepin in late September that I have to go back for, so maybe I'll do it then.

Man, it's been a busy weekend...Here's me, Dad, and Yomie working on the Caribbean theme Corporate order. Regretting that we didn't order extra pairs of Havaianas for the store. At least we have yummy Dancing Deer Mango cookies and Tortuga Rum cakes on the shelves for customers.
